Statement of work template (one page)
A statement of work only works if the client reads it. Keep it to one page. Six blocks. Send it before you start.
What to include
- Client and title. Who it is for and the project name.
- The problem. Three or four sentences on what is broken. Not a company history.
- Deliverables. Numbered lines the client can tick. Each line is something you can hand over.
- Timeline. When it starts, how many review rounds, when it ends.
- Investment. Total price and when each part is due (for example 50% to start).
- Out of scope. The work that looks adjacent but is not included. This is what stops silent extra weeks.
What this is not
A one-page SOW is a working scope, not a signed contract and not legal advice. If you need something binding, have a lawyer review it.

Scopepage is a generator for this page. Type the six blocks, preview, pay €39 including VAT once, download the PDF. No account.
